Chainsaw Milling

Chainsaw milling is the process of turning logs into usable planks. The key benefit of a chainsaw mill over a larger bandsaw or sawmilling site is access. The chainsaw and mill attachment breaks down into small sections, which means we can bring it to the log site, saving you time and money over moving the heavy complete logs off-site.

Chainsaw milling is a great way to reduce the waste from tree removals and get something long lasting, valuable and beautiful out of the process. We are happy to travel a bit further for milling, anywhere within 3 hours of Glasgow, or even a little further for the right project.

We also have a small dehumidification kiln which rapidly increases the drying time for milled timber and gets the timber to a lower moisture content than air drying alone, making it more suitable for use in indoor joinery.
